Get ready for a new crochet adventure with our unique Peacock Blanket Crochet Pattern, a special collaboration with the talented Emma and Anja from Ophelia Talks Crochet.

A while ago one of my subscribers who lives in Exeter, Emma, came to see me in my Crochet

Lounge, she was so excited to see all the yarn and she was trying to see if I had any hidden

projects that I was not talking about yet laying about the lounge.

And she happened to be mentioning that she quite liked the Ophelia Square, and that maybe she

had a colour pack idea in mind.

So I questioned her further and needless to say the pegs came

out and we spent a good few minutes putting together her idea of a peacock coloured inspired

yarn pack.

And then thinking about the Ophelia Square, Emma got all excited to try and turn the

square into the Peacock colours.

Anja and Emma with the peacock blanket

This is a square I designed and published a couple of years ago. It is a lovely square on its own,

but as it turns out it really sings in the peacock colours. I have now also designed a triangle from

the Ophelia square to fill up the sides of this blanket because we are going to put this together

diagonally.

When we were putting the palette together I suggested adding in the MIX colours. There are a few

‘mottled’ colours in the SSDK range and we have never used them in a blanket or yarn pack

before because I have never been able to get them to blend in with the overall look of the colour

palettes, but this time I saw the opportunity to use them and they blend in so well with this theme.

So I hope you will enjoy the process of creating the Peacock Blanket just as Emma and I have

enjoyed designing, creating and crocheting together!
