Back in 2021, our team was on a quest for fresh inspiration for a new yarn pack and a unique colour way to add to the Stylecraft Special DK range. We were eager to find something that would truly captivate the essence of creativity and beauty in our products.

Chris, one of our dedicated moderators, resides in the picturesque state of North Carolina, a place renowned for its breathtaking sunrises that grace the coastline. 

The mesmerising beauty of these dawns, with their vibrant hues and serene ambiance, sparked a wave of inspiration, leading to the creation of a colour way that captures the essence of this natural phenomenon.

There is a famous song lyric that goes, “nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning.” This sentiment is perfectly captured in the accompanying photograph, showcasing the unparalleled beauty of a Carolina morning.

Chris’s daughter, Tina, captured this stunning photo one July morning at Carolina Beach in North Carolina, USA. This image, affectionately named ‘Carolina Sunrise,’ served as the inspiration for this yarn pack.

In this yarn pack, the lighter hues represent the soft sands of the beach, the brown tones symbolise the sturdy pier, the purple shades reflect the tranquil waters, and the vibrant orange and red colours embody the breathtaking sunrise.

Now, close your eyes and imagine yourself on a deck in North Carolina, sipping your coffee or tea as you welcome a new day. The serene beauty of the scene is just a taste of what inspired this creation.
